On an ordinary morning, a scream rips through the everyday life of Cefalù. The town, famous for its sea and quiet life, wakes up with terrible news... the town's cats have disappeared.

The fact puts everyone on alert, including Aaron who, as a curious young man, is seduced by the intrigue. He starts to investigate, but what, at first, seems to be just a stunt, plunges into a vortex of increasing evil. It reveals how evil comes into the world and the way it begins to creep in.

Because Aaron and all of Cefalù will learn a lesson that is, at the same time, also an omen: the beasts, in the end, never really leave.
