The lava soils of the’Etna These factors define the character and finesse of this red wine. The vines grow at high altitude, where the cool nights preserve their aromas and freshness. Furthermore, the production regulations highlight the Nerello Mascalese, the grape variety that symbolises the volcano.

This is why Etna’s red wines are often compared to great mountain wines. They are elegant rather than powerful and accurately reflect their terroir.

Aromas and flavour

On the nose, it reveals notes of fresh red fruits, accompanied by delicate floral hints. On the palate, it is balanced, fresh and harmonious, with a subtle yet persistent structure. As such, it is already enjoyable now, with all the vigour of a young vintage.

It pairs well with pasta dishes with ragù, white meats, cured meats and even substantial fish dishes, such as tuna. Served slightly chilled, it is also excellent in summer.
